Travel Experience: My Visit to Tadoba National Park

My Visit to Tadoba National Park

I have explored almost all national parks of India including Corbett National Park, Ranthambore National Park, Kaziranga National Park, Gir National Park, Manas National Park, Pench National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Panna National Park to Sundarbans National Park. Todoba National Park was also in my top travel list. So I decided to explore the wilderness of Tadoba Andhari in the month of March – which is considered to be an ideal season to be there. As usually, I visited Tadoba with my parents in search of Royal Bengal Tigers. Though, I have see tigers in above visited national parks but want to spot the daring tigers of Tadoba National Park. Tadoba shelters most daring and ferocious royal Bengal tigers in its territory. So we were excited to go on a multiple jeep safaris in different tourism zones of core and buffer area of the park.

First know Tadoba Safari Zones

Our accommodation was arranged towards Kolara side. Like other Kolara tourism is also divided into core and buffer zone to promote better tourism inside Tadoba. Kolara itself is a Core tourism zone. Buffer gates towards Kolara are named as – Plasgaon Gate, Kolara Charadeo Gate, Alizanza Gate, Madnapur Gate, Shirkheda Gate and Belara Gate. We have heard lot about the buffer gates of Tadoba National Park. Wildlife sighting in buffer regions is always high. Several celebrities come to these buffer gates to spot tigers including Sachin Tendulkar to Sara Ali Khan.

Joy of Morning and Evening Jeep Safari in Tadoba

Our morning first Jeep Safari was arranged on Alizanza Buffer gate and we were enough fortunate to spot daring tigress called Matkasur in first chance only. We were very happy.

Our second jeep safari was planned in Madnapur gate and we spotted a male tiger named Gabbar passing right ahead our jeep and we were lucky that out jeep was passing that time. Gabbar leg was hurt; it seems that he had a territorial fight. Next our safari enters into deep jungle. Further we spotted Maya – the most daring tigress of Tadoba – popularly called as Queens of Tadoba walking with her two cubs. Maya sat in between the road facing back to us. Later we spotted langoors, Chital, Grey Mangoose, Beautiful Fish Eagle, Kingfisher, Deers and many more.
