Khutwanda Safari gate in Tadoba National Park is the among the top three core zones of tiger reserve area. Khutwanda is situated very closure to Moharli gate. The advantage opting safari from this gate is most of the accommodation options in the form of hotel and resorts are located in this area. It can be accessed from Nagpur and Chandrapur easily. Khutwnada is second important safari gate blessed with plethora of flora and fauna and good wildlife resorts around.
Important fact about Tadoba National Park you should note before visiting is – if you are planning safari in Tadoba you should not much believe in doing safari in core or buffer area. Reality is that both the core and buffer zones of Tadoba offer excellent sightings due to sound and bountiful wild species living in its territory. Tadoba shelters around 62 kinds of mammals, 291 birds, 09 amphibians, 34 reptile species, and 174 species of butterflies.
The main USP or highlight for Tadoab Andhari Tiger Reserve is being the 115 tigers and 151 leopards and yes most amazing black leopard is also major attraction. And all these can be seen in Khutwanda gate of Tadoba. Please note both Moharli and Khutwanda gate leads to a same forest area but entry gates are different.

Both morning as well as evening jeep safari ride in Tadoba is the only best idea to explore the each and every nook and corner of the jungle. Tadoba Khutwanda forest like any other tiger reserve is open for tourists from October to June every year. During monsoon season – July August and September forest is kept closed for tourists.
05 jeeps in morning shift and 05 jeeps in evening shifts are allowed to enter inside the Khutwanda core tiger reserve area for safari ride.
Do keep in mind while booking jeep safari in Khutwanda gate, book your stay in the resorts which are closer to the safari gates. For example Waghoba Eco Lodge is closest to Khutwanda gate (only 15 minutes) and Moharli gate (30 minutes) hence it is advisable to book safari from this zone while staying in nearby resorts.
